BJ Reece Orchards began in the 1960s and was a tradition for John Reece when he and his wife Rachel started running the family business. Located in Ellijay, on the eastern side of Gilmer County, the farm is now over 200 acres of apples (and growing) and 30 acres of peaches. We also grow asian pears, nectarines and seasonal vegetables. You can visit our Market & Bakery to purchase seasonal produce and our world famous fried pies. At BJ Reece Orchards, we want you to come play and enjoy our family friendly atmosphere and some of the best apples in North Georgia.

A new generation of the Reece family is continuing the farm's legacy. In 2021, John and Rachel Reece's son, Taner, and his wife, Sarah, opened Reece's Cider Company just across the street from the Apple House. Today, they craft 16 varieties of hard cider using apples grown in our orchards. Beginning this year, they will also produce fresh apple cider for our Farm Market, bringing another farm-fresh tradition to our guests.

We have a great team of people who help maintain our crops year round. During the busy fall season, it takes a village to run the farm. Some of our friends have worked multiple seasons, also recruiting their children to help, extending the traditions of BJ Reece Orchards across our community.
